Chicago City Dads!

Is Spring ever going to arrive?

Come join us for 'Storytime for Infants & Toddlers' at Barnes & Noble this Thursday at 10am (alternatively there's a train set that kids may like to play / fight over!) Storytime runs from 10 to 10.45 after which we can sit and chat over a coffee in the large Starbucks coffee shop or just hang out. The sight of a dozen dads and their kids will no doubt get heads turning and moms / nannies clucking!

I have a conflict on Wednesday this week, so we'll meet on Thursday from 9:30-11:30.

We're venturing outside Pasadena to one of the most scenic parks in the area. Lacy Park has infant swings, two playstructures, restrooms, and lots of green space for running and playing ball.

Lacy Park is located at 1485 Virginia Road in San Marino, CA 91108. You will have to walk a way from the parking lot, so you may want to bring a stroller.

Here's a map of the area:

Hope to see you there!

Chicago City Dads!

Urgh - Thursdays are still cursed with wet weather, so come join us for free entrance at the 'Hands on Habitat' in Chicago's Nature Museum (aka Peggy Notebaert) this Thursday at 10am. Some of the hightlights for our rug rats include:

* The two-story Mazza Foundation Tree of Life – a treehouse that little ones can climb.
* Collect and sort colorful fish from our Explorer’s Boat.
* Pump “water” through a root pump all the way to the branches.
* Ride our wiggly worm slide.
* Blow seed pods with our wind machine.
