Hi all,

With the 12th convention coming up, I decided to post an article I wrote on the very first at-home dad convention in my At-Home Dad Newsletter site ( www.athomedad.com ). Thought you would like that bit of history, they were fun times.

The article was originally for the At-Home Dad Newsletter back in 1996 when I did it in hardcopy form. I will dig up the older stories and post an archive of those "old days" as time allows.

PS: Just joined your group this morning, keep up the good work!

It's pretty cool seeing

It's pretty cool seeing where it all started, and interesting to see that 12 years later we are still facing the same issues and fears. I know the convention helped me get started with my new "career", and I hope it can still be a help to others all these years later.

Hey Pete

Good to see the old-timer has finally joined us, just kidding, welcome aboard! I tried to go read your article but it kept locking up my browser to the point where I would have to kill it off, bummer.

It's safe to read the article now

Mike,

I found the offending code in my site freezing your browser & it's safe to go in there now.

Look forward to keeping in touch, I added your Mile Hi Dad Blog in my blogroll also.
