The National At Home Dads Convention held in Kansas City is an event not to be missed of you are an At Home Dad!
The Top 10 Reasons Why You Should Attend:
10. It is going to be in Minnesota is the next few years.
9. It is going to be in the Dallas Fort Worth Area in the coming years.
8. It is going to be in Washington DC possibly in two years.
7. It is going to be held in Sacramento California Next year.
6. Chances are it will not be planned to be held in your area if it’s not already listed above; unless you attend and voice your opinion on future events.
5. It is a great short “working” vacation for you, you get to travel maybe kid free if you leave the family behind, and you get to attend seminars to better your At Home Dad skill set. Can you sew? A breakout session covered the basics of how to repair a stuffed animal to a blown out hem on your daughter’s favorite dress just yesterday and it was one of the more popular sessions. Know how to braid hair? Yes, it was covered yesterday as well.
4. Male bonding, when was the last time you got to hang out and drink beer with 50 or more of your new best friends?
3. You get to enjoy true silence at night after the hotel settles down, you know what I mean, you can relax and get that good sleep you’ve been missing since you do not have to listen while a sleep for troubles whimpers or loud screams in the kid’s room(s).
2. You get to talk to other likeminded individuals who have more than likely “been there and done that”; it is a great place to share experiences and ideas.
And the Number One Reason why you should attend The National At Home Dads Convention
YOU ARE AN AT HOME DAD AND YOU DESERVE IT!

What Mile High Dad Said
That is why I am working on getting back to it in Sacramento in 2008. Really wish I would have been with everyone in KC this past weekend and see all the guys that I met in 2006. Hope everyone had a good time and I get to hear some great stories.
CA in '08
This is not something you need to do. It is something you WANT to do. Even if you are part of a great local group, the convention is worth your time, money and effort. Besides, we can all call Dayv at the last minute and ask him if we can crash on his couch! :)
