Description
Easy and delicious pork roast that can be made in a slow cooker or the oven.
Ingredients
- 3⁄4 c apple juice
- 2 T Sugar
- 2 T soy sauce
- 1 T vinegar
- 1 t ginger, ground
- 1⁄4 t Garlic Powder
- 1⁄8 t pepper
- 2 lb pork roast
Instructions
In slow cooker, combine apple juice, sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, ginger, garlic powder and pepper. Add roast, turning to coat. Turn roast fat-side up. Cover and cook on high for 3 1/2 to 4 hours or on low for 7 to 8 hours or until meat is tender.
In a regular oven, combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix. Place roast in baking bag. Pour liquid over roast and bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Liquid makes really good gravy. Mix with cornstarch to thicken.

This looks good, think I'll try it! Thanks
This is my first attempt at this kind of website after 18 mo. of being at home. Looking forward to the support, some days are better than others, but very rewarding also.
Terriyaki Pork update
I sent you a note about 3 months ago, but since have found a great substitute for all the work putting together the sauce.
It tastes terrific and is available at Costco called (Mr.) Yoshida's Marinade & Cooking Sauce, Original Gourmet.
Comes in 63 oz plastic bottles, try it and let me know what you think.
This stuff is good with just about any meat i.e. pork, chicken or beef.
Regards,
Eric
