Prayers please

My 3 year old son Cullen suffered 1st and 2nd degree burns on 18% of his body yesterday. We will not know until after the first 24 hours if he will suffer scaring or need skin skin grafting. Not a good way to start the new year so any prayers will be helpful.

Thanks,
Liam

I am really sorry.

I hate to hear this so much, Liam. I will definitely pray for you and your family. If it is not too difficult for you, is there anything "safety" related that you can share, so that we can avoid the heartache you are going through? No matter what happens, you guys will make it through this.

I have unfortunately spent the 2 of the past 3 new years days in the ER. Thankfully never as serious as your experience. You and your family will be in our prayers.

Your prayers are helping

Thank you guys for the prayers. Keep them coming because they sure are working. The video was awesome Doug. My son keeps watching it over and over. He thinks it is cool that he is mentioned on You Tube. As for the safety advice you were asking about Phillip, all I can say is keep the coffee pot out of your kids reach. I was in the living room, my wife was in the bedroom and my mother in law was in the kitchen getting some creamer out of the refrigerator. Cullen was trying to be helpful and reached up to get the coffee pot which is usually pushed all the way back on the counter but for some reason that day it was not. It was a full 14 cup pot which was heavy and it fell onto the counter and the bottom broke out of it. He has burns on both arms, on his chest and stomach, and his right thigh. The thigh burn is probably the most severe but is looking a lot better. We will probably be in the hospital till the weekend. Thanks again for the support and I will update you on Cullen's progress.

Thank you Liam.

Thanks for the update. I am so glad that things are looking up a little bit for you guys. I hope your mother-in-law is coping as well. I know it must be really hard for her as well. I know mine would be absolutely devastated.

Anyway, I really am glad that things are looking better. If you have a moment, email me your mailing address. I will get my boys to make a get well card for him.

Best Wishes.

Concerned

jimmy-Liam- you're a real positive guy and that attitude will shine on throughout your family! I hope no one is blaming themselves over this. We all know how quick a kid can turn a safe moment into a disaster.

Peace, jimmy
