I've noticed that my organic free trade coffee packs a much stronger punch than "the leading brand". I get jittery on just 2 cups. Coming down is a lot rougher too. That just means I get to make more coffee.
Coffee

like I like my women. Hot, strong (but not too strong), and lots of it. I like pictures of it too. And I like to sit and think about it too. Wait, what are we talking about it again. Oh yeah women. No, no coffee.
I like it black.

We spent the afternoon yesterday in W-S. Ardmore is very cool. We saw 3 houses all of which were a little gross inside. Oh, well. Still hunting.

Sugar charged coffee drinker,
I wonder which kid will be more screwed up. The one where his/her dad is sarcastic, swears and jokes around or the one where his/her dad lives an a state of political correctness and restraint. I guess you mentioned mean and that is never ok...I don't think it's nice when you're mean or belittling to me either. You big bully!

Gross inside? W-S Winston-Salem? You don't have time with two children to by Mr fixit or DIY? That's a little disappointing.

"No stimulants." that was me about 2.5 years ago now I feel like I need and IV drip.
The Fair Trade, in my experiance, does have more punch but, I have been informed that our bodies adjust to how much cafeene we give it. Altering the type or style of cafeene, say in tea or cola, can give us a diffrent feeling. Granted I don't know if that's true but again, in my experiance, some coffe makes you feel like a Heped Up Pro Wrestler while others leave you saying. "more plese."
Best coffee I EVRE had was in Amsterdam. (No real coffee not the stuff they sell at the coffe house. Although that was outstanding.) It was from Africa and dark and mellow and just the right strength. I had jet lag so I drank up.
I prefer iced coffee even in winter. Black no sugar.

Like I like my women, ground up and in the freezer,
Sorry, there is a site called www.tshirthell.com that has some of the most offensive shirts around and that one came through a while ago. I am a soda man myself, nothing like shotgunning a Coke with breakfast (of course everyday I get closer to looking like my inner Buddha).

I'm loving life now that I can get Dunkin Donuts coffee in any grocery store. We don't have DD out here, so I had to wait for care packages from family or the annual convention when it was in Chicago to buy 4 or 5 pounds of dunkin donuts coffee. You should have seen the airport screeners when I tried bringing back 4 pounds of coffee and two 12 packs of Goose Island Ale in a carry-on (before the liquid restrictions)
A little sugar, a little cream, or a lot of Bailey's. Life is good. Speaking of which, My coffee is done!

I just laughed out my nose!! Well, at least it's no longer stuffed up now.

I drank the fancy stuff for a few years, but got hooked on Dunkin Donuts coffee during my most recent life in the Boston area. I use to let my first son take his morning nap in the car while I just drove around aimlessly drinking coffee. It was fun for both of us.
We have Tim Horton's around here, but it's just not the same. I recently found a really big bag of DD coffee at Costco. Do you have Costco, Dayv?

I just went to Costco the other day. Great place to get Tri-tip steaks for a fair price. However, they don't stock DD coffee at mine.

As fast as coffee disappears in my house, shelf-life is not much of a concern.

I am getting toward the bottom of my bag now, and it still tastes good. I make sure to squeeze all of the air out and seal it up tight after every use. It has a heavyduty zip lock feature on the bag. But, kind of like Dayv, I go through it at a decent clip. I think it said "138 cups" in the 2.5 lb bag, but I make it a little bit strong, so I am going through it a little faster.
I like Starbuck's Venti Vanilla Lattes.
Also, I read through an online computer manual once, where the author every once in awhile would take a break from the technical stuff and write a few paragraphs on how to make a good cup of tea. I've been stuck on tea since then too.

My wife likes those vanilla lattes also. hehhhehheh

There are a lot of passionate coffee drinkers here. FWIW, I'm set to open a new large DD bag (costco also) but will be storing this one in the pantry. It's cool enough in there (probably around 60-64 degrees). I've stored my coffee in the freezer forever and am pleased with the results, but there are some who say that 30 seconds of "out of the freezer" time can create a temperature contrast (melting ice crystals, then refreezing, then melting, etc.) that is unfavorable to taste preservation. Frankly, I doubt my palate is that refined, but I'm going to give it a shot w/ this new bag.
I will swing through a coffeehouse drivethru ('bucks, a couple of local establishments, etc.) and order an iced coffee, black w/ sugar almost every day from April through October. You latte drinkers -- watch those calories!
I'd like to hang w/ CIA one day -- Folgers (random) to Kona from a French press (yum) to espresso (that's what it sounds like ... perhaps I'm wrong) -- sounds like a good day!

My Costco has a Micro Roaster right in the store. Fresh roasted is awesome. 2 cups strong with milk. What I love is when we go camping and it is Cowboy Coffee. Dump the grounds in the water, boil it up and strain it out with a strainer.
Greg

The Costco by my in-laws has the in-store roaster, I love that stuff. My local one though is lacking, and we have a choice between starbucks (I really have a hard time supporting them), and San Francisco's Best brand coffee. (3 lbs $9.99) The french roast is pretty good, but I'm going to keep watching for the DD in costco. If I can't find it before the convention one of you east coaster's are going to hear from me.
Dayv

Although I don't really like Starbucks coffee that well, my favorite roast is actually from them. I love their Ethiopia Sadama. I've been getting that for awhile now. I like my coffee really sweet, usually 2 sugars, 2 creams, and 1 tsp of hot chocolate mix in it. Don't like black coffee or really strong coffee.

There is a little drive thru coffee shack here in town, owner is there every day, roasting, cleaning, serving, what not, the place is great. They have a big banner out front of the store, "NOW ACCEPTING STARBUCKS CUSTOMERS".
Our engraving company does their coffee mugs for them. The slogan? "Friends don't let friends drink Starbucks".
