So my wife found two "Winnie the Pooh" faucets on sale at the HD right before Christmas and thought that it would be a great idea to make the kids bathroom follow a "pooh" theme (insert potty humor here), so after I got them installed we talked to my mom (who is a very good painter) and arranged for her to come down and put some pooh on the wall (insert rim shot). She ended up not being able to make it but the way she described how to do it sounded pretty easy, so now a week later (taking my time, and going slow) I was able to do all three Murals without any problems, and pretty cheap as well. So here is a link to yahoo photos that will show you how I did it *cheesy announcer voice* "and how you can do it too!!"

Nice job!

I just wanted to let you know that I think you did an excellent job. I am now strongly thinking about doing a Spongebob mural for my son's bathroom using your method. Thanks for taking the guesswork out of the process!

Nice Work!

I once did my son's entire wall in his room in our old house. (9x14 ft.) It was from a hidden pictures book, only I removed a bunch of items at to not totally drive myself crazy doing this project. To do the larger murals, I do a scale drawing and scan it. Print it out in "tiled" sections using transparency film for inkjet printers and put that on our overhead projector. (got a used one cheap!)Trace and paint! I'll post a picture as soon as I find one.

I will be finishing our kids' bathroom with some mural work soon. It has a rainforest/jungle theme. I will scan some of the art form the shower curtain and use it on a facing wall somewhere. Will post those pics whenever I get to that project as well!

The carbon paper, store bought or home made is perfect for the smaller jobs. It's fun to do. Like a giant coloring book.
