Description
Yum. That's all. Just "yum."
Ingredients
- 2 ripe avacadoes
- 1 onions, diced well
- 2 Roma Tomatoes
- 1 T minced garlic
- 1⁄2 t powdered garlic
- 1⁄2 t powdered onion
- 2 t lime juice
- 1⁄2 t salt
Instructions
1) Peel avacodoes, chop tomatoes and onions,
2) Dump it all in a mixing bowl.
3) Add seasonings (all the other stuff)
4) Mash together with a fork. Try to NOT puree it.
5) Taste to make sure it’s not too salty or garlicy (hahaha!) But you’re not done.
6) Let sit in fridge for an hour or so to blend. But you’re not done.
7) Taste again to see if you need to add anymore seasoning. Now you’re done.
Notes
If you have never dealt with avacodoes, look for dark green with a slightly malleable cover. If it's too squishy, leave it alone. You don't want rock hard. You don't want too soft.
If you can't find a good avacado, find a non-ripe (hard, bright, shiny green one, including the wax spray that grocery stores use these days)Take them home and put them in a paper sack for a day or two. Really. I do this a bit, and it works.

Hmmm?
What is the "undefined" ingredient? Next to last, it calls for 1/2 t.
Peanut Butter
... just kidding. Sorry about that. Actually, it's salt. And I would put in 1/2 tsp just to start. Sometimes that's enough, but sometimes you need a little more. But it's just harder to take it out than to add a touch more.
Mystery ingredients.... they keep you coming back, eh?.
No Cilantro or hot stuff?
I've played around with Guac recipes, and I almost always include fresh cilantro, processing that with garlic and lime juice before adding it to the avocados and mashing. Several recipes I've seen have jalepenos or tabasco sauce, too.
I usualy don't mash
I love chunkey. I also use orange juice for an acid instead of lime or lemon. ( its a personal choice )

Thanks
Thanks for the recipe. My daughter wanted to grow a tree. So I picked up a avacado so she can watch it grow in the glass. I was just about to look for a taste recipe but decied to look here first.
