I know being a AHD mean sacrfice but...shoot...my daughter just lost Darth Mauls light saber. Man! That Darth Maul made it from NYC to South Dakota and back on the dash of my friends car. Made it though three cats, a move to a nw place, all with his stand and his saber and now it's gone. I heard it hit the floor but I can't find it. Better to lose the whole thing

With all the toys in my house with all their little bits and pieces, I am often tempted to just throw out the little pieces that I find under couches, behind toilets, in the dog-food bowls, etc. But then, somewhere in the back of my twisted, convoluted, confused and otherwise carelessly misspent mind I somehow remember that "Oh, yeah! That two-inch piece of blue plastic that the kids shoved in the computer keyboard should be in Anakin Skywalker's arm, ready to shoot out like a real lightsaber!" And it was probably missing for months. So then I go look for Anakin, whom I saw just a mere hour ago, and it is now missing....
Moral to the story: Your missing treasures will show up after you give up looking for them.
There is much good to be said about simplifying. I don't think I will ever get around to it. But there is much good to be said about it.
I wouldbelive that but...
I watched my daughter make a thermomiter dissapear right before my eyes. Like Doug Henning of the Great Houdini she waved her hands and it was gone. I heard it hit the ground - as I did the lightsaber - but it has never tunred up. Her oom has been searched, cleaned, inspect from stem to stern and the thermomiter has simply vanishined ino the eather.
That may not be the case here but it seems to be my track record.
