Friday Night Fun

I am new the this website (about 2 weeks), and I have enjoyed posting occasionally and reading everyones comments.

I am sitting here on a Friday night, while the NCAA plays on the television... just thinking how my Friday nights have changed. I used to go to happy hour with friends from work every Friday, then out somewhere else with or without the wife. As I thought about this I kind of had to laugh that I am on a site like this (don't get me wrong, I love it) on a Friday night. I never would have imagined it 3 years ago.

Any other Friday night rituals that are no longer? Looking to hear some good ones.

I am having my Friday night beer at least. Maybe I will even have 2 tonight.

I just got to see a movie...by MYSELF!

Of course, I was home by 9:30pm.

I might join you in that beer. Tomorrow is HER morning to wake up with the baby.

Note to Dads: get at least one weekend morning to sleep in. It's the best morning of the week.

Sleep in?

What's sleeping in? I'm the one who has to get up everyday of the week to deal with the kids...wow...sleep in. There's an interesting concept.

I agree and do so, or hope to do so, this morning at 7:30 I was cacooned in deep with just my right hand out of the blankets with 3 Hot Mamas (drats, only in my head) when I heard this little voice say "Dad, wake up, it's time to get up" as he shook my hand. I growled, no let me sleep and he said OK and left me alone to sleep in till the garage door growled to life at 8:15. 45 minutes is better than nothing I guess!
Drats, remember that word?

I Wish for 8:15am

Glad I stopped at 2 beers last night, since the one year old was up at 5:30am. The 3 year old made it until 6am.

Maybe I will try a glass of wine instead tonight. For myself that is, not the kids.
