Does anyone else play golf. I really discovered it NOV 07 when I pretty much needed to find something else to do to keep from losing my mind. Picked up some irons, and started hitting the balls. Got lessons in Feb and although I still suck, its nice to get out there for a few hours and forget about the daily worries.

So in Effect

What you play could be termed as Army Golf? You know, left right, left right! Sorry....
Welcome, and please be patient, things can get rather loose here at times!

uhm?

Golf? What is golf? Is it something like that sex thing some of you were talking about?

So, what exactly do you do with your kid when you are selling lumber and playing golf? That's tough duty you have there, soldier boy.

mini golf

My 2 yo son is learning to play "mini golf", he got th real facts about golf

1. Keep the hands out of the ball
2. Use the club to hit the ball
3. Reach the hole
4. Do NOT hit other with the club or the ball
5. Play until get tired so dad can play to.

During the week I get no

During the week I get no relief from either side of the family. Open can of worms. We lived in Mississippi for a few years because my wife works for the power company. I work out of the house, so I am flexible. Got a boat and had a sweet gig down there. Making calls to customers while fishing 5 miles off shore is hard to beat. Wife got pregnant and family begged us to move back so they could help. Wife got homesick and was tired of living there after Katrina (moved there 6 weeks before) so we moved last July. Family is of course too busy to help out during the week, but its expected of us to come over on the weekend so they can see littlebit.

I usually get my golf in on Sat or Sun once or twice a month when my wife is off and can watch her.

I make business calls when little one is down or when I can sneak out of the room. Thank god for email as well.

Did someone say Golf?

Phew, after last weeks thread about disc golf (i refrained from getting into that one), I'm glad to hear that someone is asking about the real golf.
Welcome to the clubhouse, Josh and why yes, I play golf. (Insert brief explanation here) Former PGA Pro who played some Professional golf in the mid to late 90's, blew out a disk in my back, retired from playing, 10 years later returning to tournament golf as an amateur. Now I'm an AHD to 3YO Olivia and still manage somehow to be a General Contractor too. Next week is the qualifying for the GA Mid-Amateur which kicks off my triumphant (hopefully) return to competitive golf this year. Don't freak, I love to play with anybody of any skill level as long as you enjoy the game and don't worry about the score (beer & beaters helps too). I don't get to play as much as I would like, but I did set up a driving net in the garage for practice, and manufactured a pretty simple chipping area in the backyard to help practice as well. Keep up the practice and enjoy the game...

Aye, there's nary an animal alive that can outrun a greased scotsman...

No Pro here But been at it for 33 yrs

I can break 80 on a really good day ( if I'm well stretched and my short game has shown up that day ) most of the time it's mid to high 80's and I count everything, I also when aloud ( local rules ) roll the ball oven in the fairway.
