had an encounter today at wal-mart.
this older lady was taking her good old sweet time in the line in front of me, too busy yapping on her cell phone to be able to stay focused enough to swipe her card and grab her bags.
i only got a couple of things (cat food, chapstick, laundry detergent)
so it didn't take long before both our bags were on the turnstyle.
she's still yapping away on the phone making these weird hand gestures at the cashier while rubbing up against me as i swiped my card.
she was planning on moving.
i try to reach around and grab my bags and she looks at the cashier and says with an attitude that she needs one of her bags doubled.
i said, "well mayeb if you got off the phone and spoke to the man he might be able to help you?"
she said, "i ain't got a problem with being on the phone but i see you do"
i said, "clearly you have a problem because being on the phone is keeping you from picking up your bags."
she told the person on the phone to hold on and then double bagged her bag.
"see," i said, "how easy that was?"
she said, "you need to stop worrying about me and take care of your kids!"
oh, not the dad with kids comment. don't go there.
then the cashier interrupted and said, "thank you sir, thank you!"
and then explained how rude this lady was to him before i came in line and how he can't say anything to anybody because he is employed there.
"thank you very much, you speak the truth. these people i deal with are so rude."
"i'm not afraid to speak my mind," i said.
then we walked out of the store... only to spot this woman still on the phone, putting her bags in her car that was parked in the handicapped space, crooked i might add, and then she BACKED UP AND ALMOST RAN OVER US!
is it too early to start drinking?
