My daughters saw a commerical for auditiions to the tv show "I CARLY". I was hesitant about the auditions being in Chicago but decided to let them go and me with them. Took their pictures and off we went to Rosemont. Something in my head told me this just didn't seem on the up and up. We arrived and they give me the forms and the brochure and led us into the room with 30 or so familys. As soon as I sat down and looked at the has been from "Saved by the bell"on the brochure, I knew this was BS. So to late to take the kids out and disappoint them, we stayed and listen to the speel. They told them how much money they could make and the fun of traveling to hollywood at your own expence. GRRRR.
They took the kids and parents to the back of the room and interviewed the family. Then off to take your commerical screaning. Gave us a time to call if we "made it" and be ready to cough up 2,000 for their BS school.
When we left the kids were all happy and woundering if they made it. I assured them they did. We went out for dinnner and had a good laugh. When we arrived home I told them of the scam and we wouldn't be able to afford them going, and assured them they made it and no one need to tell me how beautiful they are.
Academy of cinema and tv. Bunch of assholes playing with kids dreams.
All in all, spent time with the 10, 9 and 7 years old girls and had a blast.
