So first my 3 year old wants to have a tea party (boy, but it's all good). He gets the stuff animals down and he sets everything up in the living room. He gets some water for the tea pot without my knowledge. This might explain the water I found on the floor upstairs a few weeks ago actually!
I turn on the Hockey Game from last night (Go Pens!) and we have our little party. Then he spills as he's giving the Penguin more tea to drink!
We're in the family room (carpeted), so I go clean that all up and do my best to not get too upset. Then the DVR recording cuts out - the game went over the alloted time (12 mins remaining on the clock), argh - so I miss the end of the game and have to check the computer to see what happened. Two strikes in quick succession...
Then he wants me to build a domino run for him to knock down. We're downstairs, so I use those big foam mats for a nice foundation. I told him a dozen times not to walk on the mats while I'm building. I finish a very cool domino run, interlocking circles, a diamond at the end. So proud of my work I am, I run into the garage to get the camera from the stroller to take a photo and video to upload for mom to see.
I get back in and, you guessed it, Sam steps right onto the mat and boom, everything comes crashing down. Argh! Third strike of the morning. Did I tell you he woke up at 6:10 this morning? He normally sleeps in till 7:30...
Thankfully he paid me back by taking a nap without complaining. He's been down for over 2 hours now and in 15 mins we gotta go get big brother from school, so the days shaping up ok now. I even finished my letter to the State of Michigan explaining to them why they DO owe me the $8,000 refund I am claiming. Here's hoping this works without hiring a tax attorney!
Hope your days are as "bad" as mine :-)
