I have been a SAHD for a little over 1.5 years. I have a 2 year old daughter and our son was born on 5-16-08. I love staying at home and will not go back to day time work until my kids are in school. I am hoping this site will provide some good discussions, blogs, networking, and venting opportunities.

Being a SAHD has opened my eyes to how much society sucks. lol It is crazy to see day time television, magazines, and other forms of media pretend as though the mom is the best thing that a kid has and that dads are second-class parents. I really hate this view on us dads and want to change our over all image.

I am looking forward to this site!

I am sure that you will find lot of helpful info and conversation here, and just so I am the first one "try to come to the convention, it is a GREAT time!!" I wouldn't worry to much about society, I for one would say "Who cares? I have the best job in the world, and have a group, both at home and on line, that understands what I am doing, so what if Parents (which should be called "Mommies") ignores us. Their loss."
