I got a chuckle out of this article. Reads like something TickTock would write, although I know he didn't cry as much as this dude after #1 was born. Not that he told us, anyway.

Songs that have made me cry...
um...
Jeff Buckley's "Halleliuah" (or however you spell it)
Jeff Buckley's live bootleg cover of Tim Buckley's "I Never Asked To Be Your Mountain"
Nick Drake's "Know"
Belle and Sebastian live bootleg of the Chicago concert when I proposed to Amy and they played "Judy and the Dream of Horses" for us
Bon Iver's "For Emma" (especially the live video of them playing this song on the streets of a French provincial town)
Chris Isaak's entire "Forever Blue" album (high school break up)
Cranberries "There's No Need To Argue..." (college break up)
Rufus Wainwright "Oh What a World"

Been a dad for three months and suddenly he's an expert? This is exactly what is wrong with the douchebaggery turn in daddy blogs lately.
And long time readers off my tripe know that there is only one song worthy of breaking down and the exact reason why.

BRING BACK THE IRRELEVANCE!!!!

One night I had to rush my 2 yr old to the hospital because he had blood in his stool. We stopped for gas. This was when we didn't have a vehicle. luckily one of our friends took us in. Our son has an immune problem due to his dwarfism. and it just so happens that Creed - arms wide open cam on the radeo. All I could do is look at my little boy while a few tears trickled down my cheek.

Willie Nelson was singing Always on My Mind on the CD player that I brought from home when the boy was born. And the delivering doctor was singing along!
When the girl was born 2 years later, the on call delivery doc made us turn off Willie. So I had to sing Funny How Time Slips Away to the girl an hour later. Poor kid.
And for the first two months or so, anytime I caught the wife breast feedign the babies, I would fire up George Strait's version of Milk Cow Blues.
Those are the songs that really mean something about being a dad. To me at least.
