How Did Mother's Day Go?

My wife is pregnant, so I got her krispy kremes for breakfast instead of a traditional breakfast-in-bed.

We just bought memberships to the Cincinnati zoo, so we went to see the "ZooBabies" program. Today's featured entertainment was Zak Morgan, who is a fun grammy-nominated musician for kids.

Then we took DW up to the suburbs for some pampering at a new place called "Becoming Mom". I reserved their last available appointment for a pregnancy massage.

Instead of spending a bunch of money on a boquet, we got DW three carnations. One from me, my daughter, and our unborn.

Speaking of unborn, one of the things Mommy wanted to do on Mother's day weekend was to run a 5K. She maintains her training while pregnant, but we still get some perplexed stares. Anyway, the race we signed up for turned out to be a Pro-Life Fundraiser. Despite the pregnancy, neither of us are at all interested in supporting Pro-Life Education. We had a good laugh about it.

What did you all do?

The Zoo

We also picked the zoo, but the St. Louis one, well, since its a lot closer. LOL

It turned out to be a good choice, the weather was perfect and the crowds weren't too big but we got into our usual problems.

I think my wife feels guilty about not being at home so when I recommend on how going into a certain exhibit will be a waste of time since our son will just play with the globe and we should move on she responds with, "Well then maybe we shouldn't have come here since you seem to know everything about how everything is!" Not even attempting to understand how I know this from going to the zoo a bunch of times and that it's past noon and he hasn't eaten yet and that he didn't sleep much at all last night.

I keep telling her that I don't stop by her desk at work and start complaining about how and why she does stuff so let me help while I'm here.

And she has no problem with it being my issue when he keeps waking up in the middle of the night.
