It's supposed to be wet on Thursday with a good chance of rain/light snow. That said, I think we better stick to an indoor location, and the Garfield Park Conservatory is a nice escape from the upcoming winter. The Children's Garden has a play area for infants and new walkers, and the new "Sugar from the Sun" exhibit is great for young learners, with a waterfall, elevated viewing points, and a sound-scape of over fifty birds and insects. Come hop on stones across streams in the Fern room, walk paths through the Palm House, and spot the large albino salamandars in the ponds. It really is one of the best places to spend a cold day in Chicago.

Here are the directions listed on their site:
Take the Eisenhower Expressway (I-290). Exit at Independence Boulevard (Exit 26A) and travel north. Turn right (east) onto Washington Boulevard. Turn left (north) onto Central Park Avenue.(3600W) Travel two blocks north past the Garfield Park Golden Dome field house and the Lake Street public transit line. The Conservatory
is on the west side of the street at 300 N. Central Park Ave.
BUT, I would suggest if you're heading south to just take Ashland or Western down to Lake St., turn right and go west until you come to Central Park Ave. It's the big glass structure on your right.

Hi Guys,
I'd love to show up and that being said I'm getting up WAY early to take my wife to work so I can have a car. Talia's being weird with the bottle now though too.
Last week she took bottles no issue. This week she didn't eat for 6 hours because she wouldn't take a bottle and Shira had to come home early. So.... I'll have to say hopefully.

Adam and I are going to try to make our inaugural appearance at playgroup this week. I'm looking forward to meeting whomever makes it out.
