'09 Convention- Media Help

Guys,

I need some help promoting this years event to various media outlets for the upcoming fathers day.  Here's the plan:

I will send out a generic press release with details about our event.  I would like to include a local "contact" from your area so reporters can localize the story.  This would be a good way for you to get publicity for a new/existing group, our convention, and/or just to tell your story to meet other at home dads.  If you would like to participate as a local contact, here's what I need:  Your contact information to include in the release, contact information of a reporter or media outlet in your city that would reach many dads, and a willingness to include convention information in the story.

Registration and costs should be available the first week of June, so we're ready for the Father's day publicity.

Conference Schedule, is there one?

Phil, it sounds like Linoma Dads is doing it right when it comes to the next convention!

FYI, MHD is still alive and rocking in the free world!  Mark me as attending, my reservation should be headed your way soon.

For the conference schedule, is there one?  I have only seen daily and nightly functions and those rock!

I have been away from this site too long and will make an honest effort to check in more often.

It is good to see some old faces still posting.

Mike,

Great to hear you're going to make it!  We had hoped to have more things set up for the program by now, but some other things have taken priority.  I hope to have some updates shortly and should have some program details nailed down by middle of July.  Ideas:  email to me at ptandrew2000@yahoo.com.

Look for some other details soon including a possible article in Time Magazine about the convention. 

Dads:  Let me know if you've seen anything about the convention in your local media...I sent out a number of press releases in the weeks before Father's Day.
