I know this is of no real consequence but . . .
We were listening to Jimi Hendrix this morning and Little Wing came on and Madeline sang for the first time without parroting one of her parents. It made me happy.

So I'm very soon to be a stay at home dad. Can you guys give me the rundown of things I should be doing, what to expect and any insider tip that will help me out? Thanks a lot!

Hello, my name is Shawn and I live in Rutland MA. I'm a new stay at home dad who is going crazy from being at home all the time. My daughter is 1 year and we have two dogs who are very friendly. We enjoy anything outdoors. Please join our group and lets hang out!!!
Hi all,
I'm the father of an almost 4 month old, and just found this site.
I am continuously surprised by the number of activities for new moms that exclude new dads here in the Lexington, MA area. I came to this site originally to see if there were local dads groups (haven't found one yet), but figure I'll look around a bit and see what I can find while I'm here.
Why does it seem that there are moms groups (many), dads groups (a few) but virtually no parent groups open to either parent of a newborn?

FINALLY!!!!!! A resource for us Stay at home Dads!

I joined this site a little while ago and have enjoyed monitoring the message boards and checking out the photos from the convention. I'm hoping to attend next year.
Anyway, I live outside Boston and am interested in recruiting a few dads for a regular play group. So far my group has two committed dads, a 16-month old girl and a nearly 5-month old girl.
I'd appreciate anybody here passing along the word to guys in the Boston area who might be interested.

My name is Dave and I live in Newton. I have a six-year-old son and a one-year-old daughter. My friend Ray has a nearly six-year-old son and a two-year-old daughter. We're looking for a few more dads with kids who aren't yet in preschool to hang out once in a while, talk about rock music and eat doughnuts.
Hi Everyone. I am a new stay at home Dad to be. My wife is a teacher who goes back to work on Sept 4th leaving me home with my daughter Madeline who will then be 5 months old. Just wanted to put my self out there and say hello. Also, does anyone know of anywhere I could find info on any playgroups/athome dad groups stationed in opr around the area of Boston, MA. Thanks again.
